Place Value in Math

Using this activity students can build their higher order thinking skill in math and build the necessary skills they need to gain a deeper understanding in math.

This activity is a great way for your students to engage with one another and hold discussions about math. They can work in groups collaboratively or independently it is solely up to you and what works best for your class! There is a printable version as well that can be utilized for classrooms that may need additional resources. I have included an area in the digital version for students to be able to attach a recording of their responses as an added piece while grading their work. As students begin the activity they are faced with more challenging questions that will encourage them to dive deeper into math! I like to call this a partner ladder in my classroom because I have my students work together to climb up the ladder of challenging questions to reach the top (the end). My students are always engaged and can't wait for the next Partner Ladder! This product is free so try it out in your classroom and come back for more as they are added throughout the school year!
